Psalms 2:12
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. Ps 2:12
I still am amazed that this verse rest right in the center of the Old Testament, centuries before the birth of Jesus. The verse makes clear that the Old Testament saints' set their hope firmly on the coming descendant of David who is also the Son of God. To kiss him brings life and blessing. Reject him and you will perish. This "Do this and live; do this not" statement is not spoken to you by an enemy but by the God who loves you dearly & who pleads with you to embrace His Son Jesus that you might be rescued from hell and be blessed with eternal life!
