Mission Update & Marriage Survey
Last week, 31 of us from our church went on our Mission Trip to San Leon. We were blessed to be able to partner with San Leon Community Church. SLCC is a small church doing a great work for the Kingdom of God as they reach out to their community. Each week they distribute food to 150-200 families. They are loving the Vietnamese Buddhist in their area in practical ways while sharing the Gospel of Jesus. They are being Jesus to people many would consider outcast. You would be so proud of our team of adults, teens, and kids as they built an outdoor room for a senior Vietnamese man; mowed, built a deck, and even washed the dogs of a woman who recently lost her husband; prayer walked a community; loved and taught kids through Bible Clubs, games, even serving them food; and ministered to entire families through food distribution and a block party. After taking a break for a couple of weeks, this Sunday we will jump back into our study on the family, "Doing Family God's Way". We will consider how God says a husband and wife are to relate and respond to one another. I would love to hear your anonymous responses on how to live out the bible's teaching on marriage.
